with the Dartmoor Charter for Sustainable Tourism, we are
dedicated to the care of the environment and recognise our
commitment to Dartmoor's special qualities.We have been credited
with a Gold Award with the Green Tourism Business Scheme,
indicating excellent environmental practices. We are committed
to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the

'Wealth of Wildlife' folder has been produced as a pilot project
funded by Dartmoor National Park Authority, which includes a
wildlife report specifically for Lower Trecott Farm. A map of
the property and grounds is included which highlights points
of interest and another map of the wider area shows designated
wildlife areas that you could explore.
There
is a species list and a space for you to record your own wildlife
sightings and worksheets for children to use.
The
garden, orchard, hedgerows, meadow and wetland offer an excellent
variety of habitats and species including:

- 11 species of moth
- 50+ wild flower species
- Frogs, toads, newts, grass snakes, slow worms
- Dormice & voles
- Bats, owls, squirrels
