Accommodation
A
warm welcome and a cream tea await your arrival at our award-winning
Grade 2 listed 16th Century farmhouse in the delightful pre-Saxon
hamlet of Trecott.
Built of traditional Devon cob, a mixture of mud and straw,
this former thatched longhouse features oak beams, inglenook
fireplaces, bread ovens and a cross passage.

This
2-acre smallholding, nestled into its peaceful setting, is home
to a variety of hens and a small flock of sheep. The hum of
bees from our hives fills the air on warm, sunny days, and honey
and wax products are for sale. House Martins nest under the
eaves, Buzzards fly overhead and butterflies, frogs and newts
bound. |
|
The
farmhouse is situated half a mile from the picturesque and
historic village of Sampford Courtenay, site of the Prayerbook
Rebellion of 1549, and 5 miles from Okehampton, the gateway
to the high peaks of Dartmoor. With Exeter just 20 miles distant
and within easy reach of the north and south Devon coasts
and the Eden Project, it is the ideal location for a wide
range of leisure activities, particularly walking, cycling
and garden visiting. There are good restaurants locally.
